NGO partners can co-locate programmes within CARE AFRICA Smart Hubs — using the solar power, internet, water, and community space without building their own. Dramatically reduces your infrastructure cost.

Platform Access

NGO partners access the CARE AFRICA platform for their beneficiaries — health tracking, education management, agriculture coordination, and community communication — without building a separate system.

Community Access

CARE AFRICA communities are registered, verified, and digitally engaged. Partner NGOs can reach them through the platform — announcements, surveys, programme enrolment — without cold community entry.

Data & Evidence

Co-produced anonymised data for your programme evaluations. CARE AFRICA evidence standards are SDG-aligned and accepted by major institutional donors including FCDO, EU, and UN agencies.

Referral Networks

Bidirectional referral pathways — CARE AFRICA refers complex cases to specialist NGOs. Specialist NGOs refer clients into CARE AFRICA hub services. No client falls between the gaps.

Joint Fundraising

Co-submit to institutional donors. CARE AFRICA's existing government relationships and community presence strengthen NGO grant applications. We have submitted joint bids to FCDO, Wellcome Trust, and EU NDICI.

What we need from you

Strong partnerships are built on complementarity, not duplication. We are looking for NGOs that bring what CARE AFRICA does not have — and can absorb what we offer.

✓Specialist programme expertise (e.g. GBV, disability, legal aid, nutrition)

✓Existing community presence in areas where CARE AFRICA has no hub yet

✓Institutional donor relationships for joint applications

✓Technical skills — healthcare, legal, agricultural, environmental

✓Geographic reach — particularly in underserved NE and NW states

✓Advocacy and policy influence at national or international level

Partnership MOU Framework

All NGO partnerships are formalised with a Memorandum of Understanding. Below are the non-negotiable components of every CARE AFRICA NGO MOU.

Safeguarding alignment

All partner NGOs must adopt CARE AFRICA safeguarding standards and PSEA policy — or equivalent. Mandatory.

Data governance

NDPR-compliant data sharing agreement. Beneficiary data is never shared without consent. Platform access is role-based.

Financial transparency

Joint programme budgets published on the CARE AFRICA transparency dashboard. No opacity.

Impact reporting

Shared impact metrics agreed upfront. Joint reporting to donors on attributable outcomes.

Exit planning

Partnerships define what happens to community relationships, infrastructure, and data if either party exits the arrangement.
