CARE AFRICA speaks
your language
Nigeria has over 500 languages and dialects. If digital services are delivered only in English, the majority of Nigeria is excluded. CARE AFRICA is built to work in 22 languages — and counting.
22 languages, one platform
Each language includes a greeting in that language — because the first word a community hears from a new service matters.
Technology that includes, not excludes
AI language detection
When a user opens the CARE AFRICA platform, the AI detects the device language and presents the interface in the closest supported Nigerian language automatically.
Voice input support
For low-literacy users, our platform accepts spoken input in Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo — with expansion underway to Fulfulde, Kanuri and Tiv.
SMS & USSD integration
For communities with no internet access, our system delivers health reminders, school alerts and agricultural updates via SMS in local languages on any basic phone.
Community translation network
CARE AFRICA employs community language coordinators in each LGA to verify AI translations, add cultural context, and catch nuances that algorithms miss.
Don't see your language?
We are actively expanding our language coverage. If you speak a Nigerian language that is not on our list and want to help us add it — as a community translator or language validator — we want to hear from you.
