Phase 1 Launches Across Nigeria

CARE AFRICA has officially launched Phase 1 of its modular social infrastructure platform — the first system of its kind to cover all 37 Nigerian states simultaneously at launch.

Phase 1 encompasses the core ecosystem foundation: a 190-table Supabase database with full row-level security, an authentication and RBAC system supporting 80+ user roles, and a complete public-facing website. The maternity portal, donor portal, transparency dashboard, and schools system are all live.

The platform is built on Next.js 14 with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, backed by Supabase PostgreSQL. Every portal shares the same database, authentication system, and design language — ensuring that a donor in London, a midwife in Kano, and a scholarship manager in Lagos are all operating on the same unified infrastructure.

Phase 1 also includes the first Smart Maternal Hub pilot — site assessment has begun for the first Tier 3 unit, which will include a maternity centre, solar power system, and clean water installation.

Subsequent phases will add the health worker portal, journal system, full scholarship management, smart hub infrastructure tracking, and eventually government, NGO, NYSC, and community portals across all 20 programme modules.
